Dementia sufferers in Wales 'scammed' out of £5million

Dementia sufferers in Wales are falling victim to con artists who target them with cold calls, mail scams and mis-sold policies according to charity, The Alzheimer’s Society.

Research, published in its report, Short Changed: Protecting People With Dementia From Financial Abuse on December 14, shows that people with dementia in Wales have victims of scams totalling more than £5million.
